Our trip to the sea...

We left Saturday night for a 3 day trip to the sea (coast). We took our first stop in Canterbury. I am sill not very confident in driving my American van in the city so we took the park and ride in to the town centre (center). We thought that we had to get off at the second stop but the bus did not stop at the first one so we got a little tour of the town riding the bus route. We found our way to the Canterbury Cathedral.. We then found the little pub in the village where our cottage was. We stayed at a lovely cottage in a little village that my mobile (cell phone) would not get service. It was very spacious and the owners were a joy. Sunday it was off to Dover. On the way there we took some winding narrow roads and told Sarah and Cory to watch out the window. Well, we learned that Sarah gets car sick and we had a little detour to Tesco (like Walmart) to find another change of clothes. Getting back to the White Cliffs we did not have time to go through Dover Castle and take our time so we decided that we will make another trip. I always love the sight of the sea. Not to mention there were times that we could see through the fog to France on the other side. I did not realize how close it was. Maybe our next journey! Monday was a very fun day going to Leeds Castle and driving home. A fun weekend was had by all! Now back to reality.
